Get rid of Cal Thomas, Herald

The Daily Herald reaches a new low point in publishing Cal Thomas' insane commentary on health care. The addition of the scary “death panel” to the usual chatter aimed at creating foolish laws to limit women's access to health care is macabre.

The Herald is my source for local news. I think we'd be better served in the opinion pages if you also had another regional commentator instead of Thomas — preferably someone not quite so far beyond the reach of reason. Isn't it time for guidance on finding out who the candidates will be in April's local elections?
