Algonquin man charged in slot machine thefts
Authorities investigating the theft of as many as 45 slot machines say they got their big break when someone saw one of the gambling devices offered for sale on the Internet.
They say the ad posted last year led to this week's arrest of an Algonquin man.
The suspect, 42-year-old truck dispatcher Leszak Zujko, is being held on $200,000 bond at the DuPage County Jail.
Chicago police reported they were contacted last year by representatives of Chicago-based gaming firm who said they had seen one of their missing slots posted for sale.
Assistant DuPage County State's Attorney Kirsten King says Zujko has admitted involvement in the theft of 13 of the machines. He did not say whether Zujko has an attorney.
