The skinny: So much for the Ramblers meeting Ken Pomeroy's probabilistic expectations. Loyola dropped a 12-point decision to Detroit on Thursday night and Wright State figures to be a tougher opponent. The Raiders are guard oriented, so perhaps sophomore Ben Averkamp can enjoy another big game. He produced 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals against Detroit. He needs help on the boards. Loyola had 11 fewer rebounds than Detroit, which led to a 24-9 deficit in second-chance points.
