Your news: Golf Nation events benefit homeless and needy kids

Members and guests of Golf Nation recently helped two local charities while having a great deal of fun along the way.

In November, the club held its third annual Golf-A-Thon benefiting Journeys from PADS to HOPE. Golfers paid $25 to the charity and in return played virtual golf at Pebble Beach and received gift packs including a T-shirt commemorating the event. Nine local companies helped sponsor the event that raised thousands for the charity.

In December, Golf Nation held a Toy Drive in conjunction with The Bridge Youth and Family Services which services the families in the Palatine area. Golf Nation received a large assortment of unwrapped toys, which surely made many children smile on Christmas Day.
