Robber hits bank in West Dundee Jewel

A man robbed a bank inside a Jewel grocery store in West Dundee Monday night after handing a teller a note demanding cash, authorities said.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash around 7:45 p.m. at the store's TCF Bank branch at 1250 W. Main St. The suspect didn't have a weapon, but “threatened harm if his demands were not met,” according to FBI spokeswoman Cynthia Yates.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s, with a stocky build, and was wearing a black coat, hood and gloves.
