Letter was rude and ill-timed

I am replying to a letter published in Fence Post on Dec. 21. The letter, written by Frank Sears of Buffalo Grove, should have been signed Ebenezer Scrooge. This is the season of giving, and with the condition of our economy he should be ashamed. He apparently has no financial worries.

The reason so many people are out of work is that companies are doing away with jobs and taking the work overseas. This is why so many people are collecting unemployment benefits that Mr. Sears feels they do not deserve.

He has the nerve to say there is nothing wrong with giving tax credits to companies that move their work overseas because people there need work, too. Humbug to you this season, Mr. Sears.
