The skinny: The Mountaineers retained just two starters from last year's Final Four squad, which helps to explain why they arrive in Rosemont having dropped back-to-back conference games for the first time since 2002. Casey Mitchell leads WVU with 16.8 ppg. DePaul freshman Cleveland Melvin continues to spread his wings and push himself into Big East rookie-of-the-year contention. Melvin just won his second straight rookie-of-the-week award after hitting Cincinnati and Georgetown for 53 points and 15 rebounds. Melvin owns seven straight double-figure scoring efforts and has averaged 19.1 points in 27.7 minutes per game during that stretch.
