Wolves knock off Moose 3-2
WINNIPEG, Manitoba — The Chicago Wolves scored twice in the third period to snap a 1-1 tie en route to a 3-2 victory over the Manitoba Moose at the MTS Centre on Saturday night.
The Wolves' Paul Postma scored twice and notched an assist and Andre Deveaux netted a goal.
The Moose (18-11-0-4) scored first, 7:11 into the first period when Bill Sweatt scored on a power play past Drew MacIntyre, who made 14 saves while earning his third straight win.
The Wolves (20-16-2-1) tied the score at 1-1 when Nigel Dawes fed a pass to Postma, who snapped a shot past Eddie Lack 10:52 into the second period.
Deveaux gave the Wolves a 2-1 lead, 1:52 into the third period when he converted a rebound.
Postma scored what proved to be the game-winner just more than two minutes later. The Moose scored 15:32 into the third period, but the Wolves held on.
The Wolves return to the Allstate Arena to start a seven-game homestand, hosting the Toronto Marlies on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
