Be diligent against animal cruelty
I'm writing today about a very upsetting and sad article I read recently in the Daily Herald. It was about the cruelty and death of the dogs at Muddy Paws Inc., an animal shelter in Palatine. It was very unfortunate for this to happen, and I hope the state, the counties of Cook and Lake, and the village of Palatine will see this and make sure it doesn't happen again. They could do this by having more oversight on animal shelters throughout the area and conduct more inspections to make sure there are no signs of cruelty.
I have a few questions for the lady who was in charge while she left. Why would you desert such helpless animals? How would you feel if you were a dog locked up with no one to take care of you? I feel terrible for the dogs that perished. We need more people to be aware of animal cruelty and try to end these inhumane acts.
