Focus on the gifts money can't buy

Last May the greatest gift I was ever given in life was taken from me — my mom, Bernice. Mom epitomized the spirit of Christmas, showing love, making sacrifices for everyone, and thinking of others' needs before her own always during her life of 90 years.

My point is twofold. Appreciate the important gifts in life that you are given — take time during this Christmas season to focus on your gifts — the ones money can't buy. Secondly, think about what the true spirit of Christmas really is and pass along your love, goodness and kindness to all those in your life and to everyone you encounter in your daily experiences. This will truly enrich your life. Trust me I know — I learned from the very best.
