Knitting at Ela library
Ela Area Public Library will host Warm Up Lake Zurich, the local chapter of Warm Up America, an organization of knitters that distributes afghans to people in need.
Participants meet monthly at the library with the goal of making 7-inch by 9-inch rectangles to be combined into a child's blanket or lap throw. The group will meet Jan. 6 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Children's Department at the library.
Participants should bring size 7 needles and Red Heart Acrylic yarn of any color. Knitters of all ages and levels can come to knit and socialize. To register for this program, call the library at 847/438-3433, visit www.eapl.org or e-mail infodesk@eapl.org
