Antioch wins Lisle championship
Andi Potkonjak and her Antioch basketball teammates had quite a week in Lisle.
Led by tournament MVP Potkonjak, the Sequoits captured the Lisle tournament championship with a 37-24 win over Westmont on Thursday night.
Potkonjak, who earlier in the week notched her 1,000th career point, and Nicole Kelly led Antioch (8-6) with 8 points apiece.
Lauren Tiffany added 7 points and 10 rebounds for the Sequoits, who limited Westmont to 2 first-quarter points, led 22-14 at the half and 30-20 after three. Tiffany and Megan Borries sank 3-pointers for the winners.
Besides Potkonjak, Lindsey Gofron earned a spot on the all-tournament team for Antioch.
