ACC tops AC for 13th place

Aurora Central 48, Aurora Christian 39: The Chargers and Eagles ended their four days at the Oswego East Winter Classic by playing each other.

For the second time this year the Chargers came out on top, this time by 9 points in the 13th-place game. They finished the tournament at 2-2 and are 9-7 overall.

Aurora Central, which beat Aurora Christian 56-38 on Dec. 11, was led by Jackie Cardona with 18 points and Katilyn Rosa with 18 rebounds. Nine Chargers scored.

Alyssa Andersen topped the Eagles with 8 points. They went 1-3 in the tournament and are 2-12 overall.

Aurora Central coach Mark Fitzgerald called it an "excellent team win for the Chargers over a rapidly improving ACHS team."
