North, BG win at Dundee-Crown

Buffalo Grove 60, Johnsburg 58: Led by sophomore Bailey North’s 18 points, Buffalo Grove won its consolation quarterfinal of the Charger Classic at Dundee Crown High School.

The Bison (3-9) advanced to today’s consolation semifinals and will face Evanston (9-4) at 12:30 p.m.

Also reaching double figures for BG were Division I softball recruits Andrea DiPrima and KC Dunne, who each popped in 10 points.

Emily Georgoulis and Alanna Zawlocki each chipped added 8 points for BG.

Georgoulis and DiPrima each had a pair of 3-pointers.

Iowa recruit Melissa Dixon led the Skyhawks (9-5) with 22 points and 4 3-pointers.

Evanston 35, Maine West 28: Freshman Brittany Collins led the Warriors (3-12) with 12 points.

The Warriors will face Johnsburg today at 9:30 a.m.

Glenbrook North 61, Leyden 59: All-touney selection Tashemia McKinney led the Eagles with 27 points while teammates Julie Bassmaji (13) and Moira Quinlan (11) also reached doubles figures in the St Viator Snowflake tournament.
