Downed power line delays Metra trains
Metra trains on the Milwaukee District West Line were stopped in both directions Wednesday night for about an hour after a live wire fell across the tracks near the Hanover Park Station, officials said.
The wire went down about 7:15 p.m., forcing two outbound trains and one inbound train to stop, said Metra spokeswoman Meg Reile.
Inbound train 2250 and outbound trains 2245 and 2247 were affected by the obstruction.
The track was cleared and trains were able to pass through the station about 8:15 p.m., according to Metra.
