Michael Jordan buys luxury condo in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wilmington native and Bobcats owner Michael Jordan is officially a Charlotte homeowner.
The Charlotte Observer reports that the former Chicago Bull star and six-time NBA champion has purchased and combined the two top-floor penthouses at a luxury condominium building in Charlotte.
The agency that brokered the deal says Jordan closed on the $3.15 million property last week.
Jordan's new, 7,000-square-foot residence is about two blocks from Time Warner Cable Arena, where the Bobcats play.
The condos come with amenities like gourmet kitchens, outdoor living spaces, grilling areas and gas fireplaces. Jordan also installed a private elevator from the lobby to his condo.
Jordan became the Bobcats' majority owner earlier this year.
