Scouting: NIU at Missouri

Northern Illinois (3-6) at Missouri (11-1)

When: 7 p.m. at Mizzou Arena

Radio: WLBK 1360-AM

The skinny: Now for a completely different style of play for NIU. The Huskies managed a season-low 49 points on Wednesday at SIU, but they did it with 28 percent shooting and just 10 turnovers. They ought to score more and shoot better, but the turnovers could double. The Tigers, who were No. 9 in the AP poll last week before rallying to beat Illinois in the Braggin' Rights game, force exactly 20 turnovers per game. Everybody benefits from the high-pressure style as Marcus Denmon (16.7 ppg, 31 3s) leads five double-figure scorers. NIU senior Xavier Silas ranks second nationally in scoring (26.2 ppg) behind UConn's Kemba Walker.
