Middle school students learn about Buffalo Grove High choir

The third annual Day with The Expressions will be held 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at Buffalo Grove High School.

Middle school students, grades 6-8, will learn vocals and choreography to performance numbers with one-on-one help from members of the Choral Department, including The Expressions, Concert Choir, New Vibes and the vocal jazz ensemble “By Popular Demand.”

Choreography will be done by Randy Sage and music by Debora Utley. The clinic will be followed by a show at 7 p.m. for parents.

The Expressions will present their 2011 competition preview performance. The competition is Saturday, Jan. 22. The $35 fee for the Day with The Expressions includes the clinic, lunch, snack, dinner and a T-shirt. Contact Debora Utley at Buffalo Grove High School, (847) 718-4161 to register by Jan. 3.
