Naperville council like Cowardly Lion

Merry Christmas, Naperville taxpayers. The city is forecasting a $7 million deficit and yet they still approve 3 percent salary increases for the police. What's wrong with this picture?

Did any of these magnanimous councilmen pay an iota of attention to the epic political house cleaning that just occurred on Nov. 2? Americans are fed up with out-of-touch statist politicians.

John F Kennedy said, “The poet and the politician have this in common: their greatness depends on the courage with which they face the challenges of life.”

By kowtowing to the union rather than respecting the limits of the taxpayer, the Naperville City Council put itself on equal footing with the Cowardly Lion.
