Shop with a Cop helps raise money

Shop with a Cop has announced a new partnership with Al Piemonte Chevy in Dundee through Friday, Dec. 31. Al Piemonte donate $75 of every new and used car sold to Shop with a Cop.

The Shop with a Cop program works to establish and build positive relationships between police officers and the children of Dundee Township. In years past, over 400 kids have gone shopping with an officer. Shop with a Cop has also provided a mobile food pantry from the Northern Illinois Food Bank to families of Dundee Township.

It is the hope of the Shop with a Cop committee that this trend continues, with the support of the community.

The goal is to continue to sponsor over 100 children from the community this year, and with the help of Al Piemonte Chevy, that goal is obtainable. The committee continues to ask for the support of other individuals and businesses.

If you would like to donate, you may stop by The First American Bank, 218 W. Main St., West Dundee to make your donation or at any of the participating police departments, Carpentersville, East Dundee, West Dundee, Sleepy Hollow and Gilberts.
