West Aurora wins 2nd straight
West Aurora is finding the Bill Neibch Falcon Classic at Wheaton North to its liking, winning for the second straight day Wednesday 63-55 over Hinsdale Central.
The Blackhawks (2-11) will play Lyons/Willowbrook for the consolation championship at 3 p.m. Thursday.
Alexis Nelson followed a 21-point game Tuesday with 20 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. Dazmine Chaney added 13 points, 3 assists, 5 rebounds and a steal while Chastity Smith had 3 assists, 2 steals and 8 points.
Jacobs 35, St. Charles East 34: The Saints (3-11) lost their third straight at Wheaton North despite 12 points by Amanda Hilton and 10 points from Morgan Vyzral.
The Saints will play in the 15th-place game at 9 a.m. Thursday against Elgin.
