Antioch holds ballot lottery

The village of Antioch held a lottery Wednesday afternoon to determine the order candidates will appear on the ballot for village trustee in the April 5, 2011 election. A lottery is necessary when multiple candidates submit their petitions to appear on the ballot at the same time on the first day of filing, which was Dec. 13. Mary C. Dominiak will appear first on the ballot and Barbara Porch will appear second, both are running for 4-year terms as village trustee.

Other candidates running in Antioch, who did not file simultaneously, are Taso Maravelas, George Sakas and Dennis Crosby.
