Wolves fall in shootout

The Chicago Wolves saw a 2-1 lead disappear in the third period, as the Milwaukee Admirals rallied to force overtime and came away with a 3-2 shootout victory Tuesday night at the Allstate Arena.

Darren Haydar and Jared Ross scored in regulation for the Wolves (16-15-2-1), and Nigel Dawes notched a goal in the shootout. Wolves goalie Peter Mannino posted 30 saves in regulation and overtime and stopped 1 Admirals shot in the shootout.

“They showed a little more discipline than we did,” Wolves coach Don Lever said. “We just couldn't get any momentum going and had no flow, and their goaltender played pretty well.”

Goalie Mark Dekanich of the Admirals recorded 19 saves and stopped 3 of 4 Wolves attempts in the shootout.
