Don't let this money go up in smoke

I just don't understand this. I just heard report on the radio that the folks at O'Hare Airport have confiscated over 100,000 Cuban cigars over the last week or so. The report stated that these cigars would most likely be destroyed.

How ridiculous. When local law enforcement or the DEA confiscates houses, cars and equipment from drug dealers, they wind up auctioning everything off. I don't know where all the money goes, but it should go to the local government that does the auction.

That's what they should do with these cigars. These cigars would normally sell for a minimum of $10 apiece. That would bring in close to $1 million to be used to help balance the budget for either the city of Chicago or Cook County.
