Fire damages Naperville hotel
Naperville firefighters responded to a small fire that caused more than $5,000 in damage to the Baymont Inn hotel on Monday afternoon, according to fire officials.
A 911 call reported a fire in the fitness center of the hotel on the 1500 block of Naperville/Wheaton Road at 1:47 p.m.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes of arriving.
Two hotel employees were evaluated by paramedics due to smoke exposure but were not taken to a hospital.
Investigators were looking into the origin of the fire, but the cause was not known Monday afternoon.
Naperville units were assisted at the scene by the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department.
