Balanced St. Charles East tops Elgin

St. Charles East 56, Elgin 35: Junior Shannon Pedersen and freshman Amanda Hilton tallied 11 points apiece to lead the visiting Saints to an Upstate Eight River Divison win.

Morgan Vyzral and Carly Pottle chipped in 8 and 7 points, respectively, for St. Charles East (3-8, 2-3).

Wheaton North 62, West Aurora 46: Despite a 17-point performance from Dazmine Chaney, the Blackhawks dropped a DuPage Valley Conference decision to the host Falcons.

Alexis Nelson finished with 10 points for West Aurora (0-9, 0-3) while Elizabeth Skaggs added 8 points and 6 rebounds.
