Elk Grove cops bust teens for auto burglaries

Elk Grove Village police this week arrested four teenagers for a string of auto burglaries between Nov. 4 and Dec. 1.

The offenders entered unlocked vehicles and stole valuables, police said.

Three of the four suspects arrested Dec. 14 are 17 years old and being charged as adults. The fourth suspect was 17 years old at the time of the break-in, but recently turned 18 and also is being charged as an adult.

Nicholas Minzenberger, 17, 200 block of Edgeware, Elk Grove Village, is charged with three counts of burglary; Rohn Agaton, 17, 100 block of Dempster, Des Plaines, faces two counts of burglary; Alex Pejcinovic, 17, 800 block of Brantwood, Elk Grove Village, is charged with one count of burglary; and Jonathan Mendez, 18, 500 block of Eagle Drive, Elk Grove Village, faces one count of burglary.

Bond was set at $10,000 for Minzenberger, Agaton, and Mendez, and $5,000 for Pejcinovic. All four are scheduled to appear for a hearing at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Rolling Meadows courthouse.
