Scouting: NIU @ Temple

Northern Illinois (3-4) at Temple (7-2)

When: 1 p.m. at Liacouras Center

The skinny: There have been a few NBA scouts tracking NIU senior Xavier Silas, who heads into this game leading the nation in scoring with 28.3 points per game. If he can solve an Owls defense that allows its opponents to score 56.6 point per game and shot 37 percent from the field, then he'll gain even more credibility. Temple hasn't played since knocking off nationally ranked Georgetown on Sunday. The Owls have a balanced starting lineup in which everyone averages at least 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. The undersized Huskies will have to figure out a way to draw even on the boards if they're going to contemplate an upset.
