Show-Me's Restaurant will be issued liquor license
After careful deliberation and an extensive background investigation, the Naperville Liquor Commission announces it will issue a liquor license to the Show-Me's restaurant that will be located at 1126 E. Ogden Ave. The Liquor Commission's unanimous decision follows a thorough review into each concern raised by residents in the adjacent neighborhood.
“During an open forum, we received feedback from residents that we took very seriously and thoroughly considered in our decision-making process,” said Mayor A. George Pradel, who is also the city's Liquor Commissioner. “The Liquor Commission met with the owners of Show-Me's in a public forum and conducted an in-depth background check on all of Show-Me's owners and investors. Additionally, I personally reached out to all of the mayors of towns where this establishment is located. Our police department made inquiries with all of the police departments in these towns, and we concluded there is no legal basis in which we can refuse to grant Show-Me's a liquor license.”
During the investigation, it was determined that the Missouri-based restaurant chain had a clean background and no negative or illegal activity was reported in any city that is home to a Show-Me's establishment.
In response to concerns raised by residents, several restrictions will be imposed on the liquor license issued to Show-Me's, including the following:
• Show-Me's will close at midnight each day
• Servers will be required to wear a full T-shirt and shorts with a cuff
• No outside amplifiers will be permitted
• No outdoor seating will be permitted
• No outdoor activities in the parking lot will be permitted
