Wolves knock off IceHogs 4-2

The Chicago Wolves netted a pair of goals in the third period and went on to beat the Rockford IceHogs 4-2 Wednesday night. Nigel Dawes, Michael Davies, Ryan Garbutt and Arturs Kulda were the goal scorers for the Wolves.

The game was tied at 2-2 after two periods. With 2:05 elapsed in the third, Garthe fired a shot that was redirected off a Rockford stick into the net. Just under two minutes later, Kulda gave the Wolves some insurance with a goal from the point.

Dawes had given the Wolves a lead at 13:40 of the first period on a power-play goal. Davies scored the second Wolves goal at 14:52 of the middle period.

Wolves goalie Peter Mannino stopped 30 shots.
