Slugger Dunn to wear No. 32 for Sox next season
Jake Peavy can keep his No. 44 jersey with the White Sox now that slugger Adam Dunn has opted for No. 32.
The Chicago White Sox announced Wednesday Adam Dunn, the 6-foot-6, 285-pound hitter who signed a four-year contract with the team on Dec. 3, will wear uniform No. 32. Dunn wore No. 44 with the Washington Nationals last season, when he hit 38 home runs. He has hit 38 or more home runs for seven consecutive seasons.
The team also announced that a limited number of Dunn No. 32 Sox jerseys and t-shirts will go on sale starting Thursday exclusively at the White Sox Team Store on the 100 level at U.S. Cellular Field. Fans wishing to purchase a Dunn jersey or other holiday gifts for White Sox fans should enter the ballpark at Gate 4, located near the corner of 35th and Shields.
White Sox Team Store hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Orders also can placed via phone by calling (312) 674-5183.
