Timothy Christian defense stops Westmont

Timothy Christian had no single player score in double digits, but with the defense the Trojans laid on Westmont, it didn't need one.

In a nonconference game in Elmhurst, Timothy Christian (5-3) beat Westmont 48-16. Westmont (3-6) trailed 28-11 at halftime, 40-16 after three quarters, and went scoreless in the fourth.

Nathan Boot's 8 points led Timothy Christian, followed by 7 from Chris Ridolphi and 6 apiece by Mike Pizzello and Danny Leach.

Hinsdale Central 44, Plainfield East 41:

Hinsdale Central (3-4) won its third straight game on Brad Anlauf's last-second 3-point basket. Tom Garvin led the Red Devils with 16 points.

Hinsdale South 54, Argo 41:

Phil George scored 17 points and Brock Benson added 14 on 7-of-7 shooting as Hinsdale South improved to 4-3 in the nonconference game.
