Trustee Pino running for North Barrington village president

One candidate filed Monday for North Barrington village president, while three candidates have also filed for village trustee.

Filing is open until 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, for the April 5 consolidated election.

Trustee Albert R. Pino is the sole candidate for village president so far.

Pino owns his own law firm, which handles personal injury, workers' compensation and other cases. He was elected to the village board in 2005, re-elected in 2009 and is in the middle of his second term.

Open trustee seats include three 4-year terms, and one 2-year term to fill the unexpired seat belonging to Camille Koertner.

Two incumbent trustees, Edmund “Pete” Boland and Lawrence Jay “Lawre” Weiner are running for re-election, while Gerhardt A. Herrmann is running for the two-year term.
