Inverness village board incumbents all file for re-election

Inverness village trustees Timothy W. Tiedje, John R. Willis and Russell P. Fitton III all filed nominating petitions this morning to place their names on the April 5 election ballot.

The incumbents, as of Monday morning, were running uncontested in their bids for additional four-year terms on the village board. The period for candidates to file for one of three available board seats runs through Monday, Dec. 20.

Because Tiedje and Willis filed at the same time Monday morning, the village will hold a lottery to determine whose name appears first on the ballot.
