Arends only Bartlett village board incumbent to file Monday morning

Incumbent Village Trustee T. L. Arends will seek another term on the Bartlett Village Board, but so far she's the only one of three sitting board members whose seats are available to file petitions seeking re-election.

Arends, a board member since 1991, will be running for a sixth four-year term as village trustee. Joining her in filing nominating petitions this morning was resident Gregory A. Martin. Because both filed at 8:30 a.m., there will be a lottery to determine whose name appears first on the April 5 ballot.

Other trustees whose seats are up for election next year are two-term incumbents Sherry Bormann and John Kavouris. The filing period continues through Monday, Dec. 20.
