Eneogwe paces Maine West victory

Senior Odera Eneogwe doubled his scoring average and Maine West equaled its Central Suburban North victory total from last season Friday night.

Eneogwe produced a game-high 24 points on 11-for-18 shooting from the field to lead a balanced scoring effort as host Maine West (5-2, 2-0) rolled past Maine East 78-52 at Rider Gym in Des Plaines.

The Warriors were 2-8 in the CSL North last year.

Conor Hart had 11 points, Dylan Carlson had 10, Emmett Turner-Jackson had 9 and Paul Solka 8 for the Warriors.

Luther North 51, Christian Liberty 40: Ben Thomas had his second double-double of the season with a team-best 14 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough for the host Chargers (3-5, 0-2) in the Northeastern Athletic Conference loss.

Luke Comerouski added 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Chargers shot just 28 percent from the field and went 1-for-11 from 3-point range.
