Historic House on Carleton Receives Recognition from Glen Ellyn Historical Society

Glen Ellyn Historical Society Historian Robert Chambers and Judy Johnson, Historical Research, investigated the building date of the home of Ellen and Leonard Conrad, 497 Carleton in Glen Ellyn.

They discovered the home was built for a woman named Marie Arnold in 1919. The Conrads' home is eligible for a plaque that commemorates the date the house was built.

Anyone in the Village of Glen Ellyn who would like to find out the background and history of their home, can call the Historical Society at 630-469-1867 and make an appointment with the Historic Records Department.
