Dundee-Crown Class of '91 plans reunion

The Dundee-Crown High School Class of 1991 Reunion Committee recently met at Randall Oaks Golf Club to discuss plans for its 20th reunion. The events will take place the weekend of July 15-17, 2011.

The reunion will kick off at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 16 with an evening at the Tilted Kilt, 2300 Bushwood Drive in Elgin. “Our plan is to have heavy appetizers and a cash bar as to keep the evening affordable to everyone,” said committee member Kevin True. The cost has not been determined but will be under $35 per person.

“A Family Day at the Races” at Arlington Park will be the event on Sunday, July 17. “We wanted to have an event that would be fun, affordable, as well as allow people to bring their families. Our initial idea to have a picnic has turned into a venue and idea we think people will remember forever,” said True. Plans for that day will be a picnic in the Park Pavilion area of the racetrack. Classmates will be allowed to bring their own picnic lunch, subject to the carry in policy at Arlington, or purchase one provided by the track. The D-C Class of 1991 will also have a race named in its honor, and six attendees will have the opportunity to do a trophy presentation in the winner's circle following a live race. Those six will also leave with a keepsake photo of the experience.

Class member Laura Chapman Nieder has volunteered to serve as Class Administrator. Laura would like to invite all Class of 1991 Alumni to stop in and fill out a profile so they can be reached regarding next year's class reunion.
