Administrator, employee resign from Buffalo Grove Catholic school
An administrator and employee of St. Mary's School in Buffalo Grove have resigned, a spokesman for the Archdiocese of Chicago's Office of Catholic Schools confirmed Tuesday.
The two people resigned effective Monday, and a letter was sent to parents, guardians and the school community from the superintendent of Catholic schools, Sister Mary Paul McCaughey.
The Rev. Marc Reszel, pastor of St. Mary's Parish, was unavailable for comment Tuesday.
Office of Catholic Schools spokesman Ryan Blackburn confirmed that rumors of a relationship between the two reached the Archdiocese, but he would not say whether the rumors were investigated and if so, what was found.
“Right now our focus is on uninterruptedly providing a Catholic school environment of learning and faith to the students at St. Mary's,” Blackburn said.
