Krog, Ross send Wolves past Bulldogs

HAMILTON, Ontario Jason Krog and Jared Ross scored goals, leading the Chicago Wolves to a 2-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum on Saturday night.

Wolves goaltender Peter Mannino stopped 33 of 34 shots.

The Wolves opened the scoring with a power-play goal 3:26 into the second period. Krog shot the puck from the slot, which hit off the post and allowed the forward to drive home his own rebound top shelf past Hamilton goaltender Curtis Sanford.

The Wolves made it 2-0 with less than two minutes left in the second period when a shot deflected off Ross at the doorstep and into the net past Sanford.

Sanford finished with 26 saves.

Hamilton got within 2-1 when left wing Max Pacioretty sent the puck into the far side of the net past Mannino 3:06 into the third period.
