Wishes gravy train would stop

My grandparents immigrated to this country from Poland and Germany. They wanted a better life. They came to this country legally. It was not easy, it was not quick, and they were eligible for nothing from the government. They struggled, learned the language, worked hard and paid taxes. They became citizens, had children, and their children had me.

I was the first generation to get a college education. I worked and paid for it myself. I have paid taxes all of my life and now my taxes are paying for the education of children who came here illegally, got everything from the government, graduated from high school off the taxes I paid, and now I am supposed to give them loans so that they can attend college?

Oh, so someone wants to work here legally and get a professional job. She didn't worry about that while she was having everything paid for her by me. All of a sudden the gravy train stopped. By the way, she continues to break the law by driving. I have to show a birth certificate when I apply for a driver's license. Funny how much easier it gets to talk yourself into thinking that it's OK to continue breaking the law.

If this DREAM Act is passed by the gutless cowards in Washington, you already know that the payback of those loans will be excused in five or 10 years. Why not? I still continue to pay my taxes the gravy train will be rolling again.
