Act now to solve Medicare problem

Millions of seniors are at risk of losing their doctors as of Jan. 1. Why? Because Congress has failed to take action to fix a flawed physician reimbursement system that will result in Medicare doctors being hit with a 25 percent pay cut starting next year.

I know our legislators have a lot of issues to deal with, but it is critical that they stop pointing fingers and resolve this problem before the end of the year. Both parties are responsible for this mess, and Congress has a responsibility to make sure that Medicare doctors are paid fairly.

My message to Congress: Don't go home for the holidays and leave millions of seniors out in the cold when it comes to their medical care.
