Man hit, killed by train in Lombard
A 20-year-old Lombard man was struck and killed by a train at about 9:20 a.m. Monday in Lombard, officials said.
The man was struck by an outbound Union Pacific West Line train near the downtown Lombard station, at Main Street and St. Charles Road.
Metra officials said train No. 25, scheduled to arrive in Elburn at 10:08 a.m., was canceled and passengers were transferred to buses or other trains.
