Speak out against school tax proposal
I am writing this to let Grayslake residents know that School District 46 is proposing to increase the tax levy to fund budget shortages. There will be a public meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Grayslake Middle School. If you are able, please attend. In this economy, raising our taxes should be the last possible solution. I feel that if no one speaks up on this matter, the levy will be quietly approved and once again, our taxes go up.
Property tax revenue should not be used as an ATM machine. Let your voice be heard and attend the public meeting, e-mail school board members with your concerns.
