Sears Centre strikes deal with Comcast for exclusive rights to sell tickets

Tickets to all Sears Centre events will now be available only on the arena's website, through a venture with its management firm's parent company, Comcast-Spectacor.

The system is called ComcastTix, named for the cable giant, which also runs the Sears Centre through the management firm Global Spectrum.

Previously tickets were available both at searscentre.com and Ticketmaster. The arena's contract with Ticketmaster has expired.

Tickets will still be available over the phone at (888) SEARS-TIX and at the arena box office.
