Rolling Meadows man receives supervision

A Rolling Meadows man was sentenced to one year court supervision last month after a Cook County judge found him guilty of obstructing a peace officer during an incident that occurred last June in Leyden Township, in the vicinity of Melrose Park and Franklin Park.

Cook County Sheriff's Police arrested Artemio Murillo, 25, after they responded to a 911 hang-up call that came from a residence in the 10400 block of Medill. When an officer arrived for a well-being check, Murillo told him to leave or he would sic the dogs on him.

Murillo's female co-defendant was found not guilty of obstruction at the same hearing.
