Are you getting that assessment freeze?

I have discovered that several people who qualify for and have applied for the senior assessment freeze exemption for the 2009 second installment property tax bill have not received that deduction on their tax bills. This deduction amount can be significant. Amounts of $6,000 to $7,000 can be involved. Another reason the tax bills came out after the elections? There will be a lot of angry folks trying to get refunds while the county sits on all that extra money.
