Shodeen lauded for generosity
I was glad to see Kent Shodeen recognized by Geneva for his contribution to the development of Geneva's residential and commercial growth and success. I'd like to also note that Shodeen's generosity made it possible for Rejoice Lutheran Church to make its home in the city center of Mill Creek. Shodeen comes from a Lutheran heritage and part of his vision for Mill Creek was to have a church anchor the life of the city center.
Since 2001 Rejoice has based its worship and mission in our Mill Creek location, and for hundreds of families in and around Geneva it's been a place where God is experienced, community is shared, and lives are changed. God so often uses people to accomplish His work and we are grateful for Shodeen's openness to what God had in mind for all of us with Rejoice.
