Cub Scouts not buying American
Recently, my second-grade twins decided to join Cub Scouts. They signed up for their local troop and were instructed to go to the Boy Scout store in our area to purchase their uniforms.
Imagine our surprise when an organization that promotes duty and loyalty to the United States only sells apparel that is manufactured in Malaysia! It seems as if all the accessories are also made overseas as well. Every badge for my sons' uniforms had a “made in China” sticker on it.
In a time of economic crisis in the United States, it is quite disturbing that the Cub Scouts do not support American industry. This is shameful on the part of the organization, and it should make every effort to rectify this error.
