Here's one politician's 'angle'
About two years ago, a long-planned (but very unnecessary) road was scheduled to be built among the backyards of many houses in High Meadow subdivision and the Riverview Forest Preserve.
The proximity made it dangerous to our families and it would have destroyed the beauty of the forest preserve. I voiced my concerns to the Naperville City Council.
Most responses I received were along the lines of “I don't know if it's a good idea but it has been planned for a long time.” Kenn Miller responded that while he would make no promises, but he would look into the situation. He then proceeded to show up to several meetings. He gathered facts, talked to both sides and even walked with us through the forest preserve trying to find a better solution.
I kept thinking that this guy must have an angle; no politician cares this much unless there is something in it for him.
Well, I learned he did have an angle. He cares about this community and is willing to work to accomplish positive results. Kenn Miller would be an outstanding choice for mayor.
